PolySugaMulse D9 is a synthetic ingredient made from biobased raw materials (1,2) and is PEG-free and nonionic. It is used for oil-in-water (O/W) emulsification, dispersant, or solubilization of fragrances and all types of oils. PEG-free means it does not contain polyethylene glycol, a synthetic polymer that can be contaminated with harmful impurities or cause skin irritation. (1,3)

While it is derived from palm oil (10), it has been modified to enhance its functionality and performance (1). "The term 'biobased' refers to products from renewable biological sources, such as plants (4). This is beneficial because it helps to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. (5,6,7,8,9)
